In recent years, Winterberg has become a stronghold for pleasure cyclists, mountain bikers, e-bikers, road cyclists and downhillers. In addition to the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path and the Lenneroute, many trails of the Bike Arena Sauerland start in Winterberg. This connects 22 towns in the Sauerland region on 150 routes. Despite rotating on its own axis, each tuber sits "in the saddle" while sliding down the 180-meter track at 20 km/h. Even the younger guests can slide in their own tires from the age of six. The specially made mats accelerate you at the beginning for the speedy ride and slow you down again towards the end of the track for a safe arrival. Due to the brake carpets, which ensure a constant speed of the tires, the track is operated only in dry weather.
