Our goal is to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
In our digital guest guide, you’ll find everything you need to know for a relaxing stay at the Engemann Kurve.
From information about our hotel to dining and entertainment, as well as tips for your time in Winterberg—simply select the topic that interests you.

Your room will be available starting at 2:00 p.m. on the day of your arrival.
If you arrive in Winterberg earlier, you are welcome to use our hotel and the common areas. Early check-in is available subject to availability and for an additional fee. Please let us know as soon as possible if you’d like to arrange this.
Do Not Disturb
: If you do not wish to be disturbed, please hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the outside of the door handle.
Green Room – “For the Sake of the Environment”
If you’d prefer that we not clean your room during your stay, we’ll give you a €5 beverage voucher for our bar, or you can donate the €5 to a good cause, and we’ll plant a tree in collaboration with the Winterberg City Forestry Department. If you need toilet paper, please let us know. We’ll bring it to your room. Please let us know by 8:00 p.m. whether you’d like your room cleaned or not.
Room
Key Your room key also serves as your front door key. Please be sure to take your room key with you when you leave the hotel in the evening.
We do not have a night porter who could open the door for you.
On the day of departure, we ask that you vacate your room by 11:00 a.m.
Would you like to extend your stay a bit on the day of departure? Late check-out is possible in rare cases, subject to availability, for an additional fee, and by prior arrangement. Please contact our front desk well in advance to make this arrangement.
You’re welcome to leave your luggage with us after check-out so you can relax and enjoy your last day of vacation in Winterberg.
Our Wi-Fi is available to you free of charge throughout your stay.

Our rooms and suites are designed to ensure you have a pleasant and relaxing stay.
Please note that our hotel is not air-conditioned.
Our entire hotel is smoke-free. Smoking is not permitted in the rooms.
For smokers, we offer a seating area next to the entrance as well as our sun terrace, among other options.
Pets are not allowed in our hotel rooms or in the restaurant. However, you are welcome to bring your four-legged friend to our Kurven:BAR. There, you can also enjoy a meal together with your dog.
Breakfast is served daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Depending on how busy we are, we’ll serve you either a hearty breakfast buffet or a plated breakfast right at your table.
Look forward to a varied selection of breakfast treats. These include, among other things, bread and rolls, cold cuts, cheese, homemade jams, freshly prepared scrambled eggs or fried eggs, and other breakfast options.
Guests from outside the hotel are also welcome to join us for breakfast. A table reservation is required in advance.
Do you follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, or do you need gluten-free or lactose-free alternatives? No problem. We’re happy to accommodate your requests. Please let us know about any food intolerances or dietary preferences when you book or before your arrival, if possible. That way, we can best prepare for your stay.
Hours
of Operation Our restaurant is open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Kitchen Hours
We prepare fresh meals for you daily from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Our menu features meat and fish dishes as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
We can also accommodate special dietary requests by prior arrangement.

A reservation is not strictly required, but it is recommended—especially during peak times and on weekends.
This way, we can be as certain as possible that we’ll have a table for you.
You can easily make a table reservation online or directly with us.
In addition to our restaurant, you can enjoy our Kurven:BAR with a bar counter, our cozy fireplace lounge, and—during the summer months—our sunny garden terrace.
This way, you can enjoy your entire day with us, from breakfast to afternoon coffee, dinner, and a cozy nightcap.
Alternatively, you’ll find the AndRes Alm Stub’n, serving Bavarian delicacies, at Hauptstraße 28 in the center of Winterberg.
The Alm Stub’n is open Tuesday through Saturday starting at 5:30 p.m.
Want to enjoy a drink after an active day on vacation? Then our Kurven:BAR is the place for you.
Our bar offers a selection of non-alcoholic beverages, (non-alcoholic) cocktails, fresh draft beer, aperitifs, spirits, and wines.
The Kurven:BAR is generally open all day. During restaurant hours, the regular restaurant hours apply.
Outside of these hours, the bar’s hours depend somewhat on the number of guests.
Our cozy fireplace room is also available to you regardless of our opening hours.
And the best part for guests with dogs: You're welcome to bring your four-legged friend to our Kurven:BAR and even eat with him.
For relaxation, our Kurven:BAD in the basement features a heated swimming pool, a Finnish sauna, a steam room, and an infrared cabin. Bathrobes and a bath bag are provided in your room. You can borrow towels and slippers at the front desk.
The swimming pool is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; the sauna and steam room are usually heated from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. If this is not the case, please let us know at the front desk or in the restaurant. Please understand that the lights in the swimming pool may occasionally be turned off. In that case, please flip the light switch on the left-hand wall after entering the wellness area.
To help you enjoy your active vacation as hassle-free as possible, we offer a variety of practical services.
For hikers, we provide detailed tour suggestions and a hiking map.
For cyclists and motorcyclists, we offer a garage (subject to availability) and tools. E-bikes can also be charged here.
If you need a packed lunch for your trip, please feel free to ask us.
Luggage transfer is also available upon request and subject to availability for distances up to 35 kilometers.
Are you arriving in an electric vehicle?
There is an electric charging station in our hotel parking lot where you can charge your vehicle during your stay.
You can get information about how to use it and billing directly at our front desk.
You can also charge your bicycles in our garage for a small fee to cover energy costs. Please note that taking the batteries into the guest rooms is not permitted.
There are plenty of free parking spaces available right next to our hotel. During the winter months, the parking spaces are cleared of snow.
To make your stay as pleasant as possible, we offer a variety of additional services.
Do you need an extra pillow or blanket? Would you like to request a wake-up call or arrange for a taxi?
We can also arrange packed lunches, flowers, birthday surprises, luggage service, and late check-out—subject to availability and, in some cases, for an additional fee.

Winterberg and the Sauerland region offer plenty of opportunities to stay active year-round.
Thanks to our central location, you can easily reach many recreational activities on foot.
The Rothaarsteig, the bike park, and the ski lift carousel are all nearby.
Winterberg is an ideal starting point for hikes through the Sauerland region.
As a "Wanderbares Deutschland" certified host and a "Rothaarsteig" certified business, we are particularly attuned to the needs of hikers.
We’d be happy to give you tips on beautiful trails and great hiking destinations.
Winterberg is also an attractive destination for cycling and mountain biking enthusiasts.
Our garage is available for bicycles and motorcycles, subject to availability.
We also offer e-bike charging stations and tools for bicycles and motorcycles.
In winter, you can easily reach the Winterberg ski lift network from our hotel.
A ski storage room is available for your ski equipment. In addition, our guests receive a discount at select ski rental shops (for example, Skicenter Walther).
Even aside from hiking, biking, and skiing, there’s plenty to discover in Winterberg.
Among the well-known attractions are:
Kahler Asten—one of the Sauerland’s most famous mountains and a popular destination for hikes and day trips.
Erlebnisberg Kappe – here you’ll find a wide range of recreational activities centered on exercise, nature, and adventure.
Panorama Erlebnis Brücke – a popular destination offering impressive views of the surrounding landscape.
Winterberg Bike Park – a highlight for mountain bike enthusiasts.
Summer Toboggan Run – a fun activity for the whole family.
In winter, too, Winterberg and the surrounding towns offer plenty of opportunities for downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, and winter hiking.
